Frequently Asked Questions:
Are the fins removable for shallow water/river travel? The 2018 (Versions I - III), and the early 2019 (Version IV) regular Cruise (not Carbon), all have a removeable center fin and permanent tiny side fins. The late 2019 (Version V) and 2020 Cruise (Version VI) now come with all three fins removeable, none of them permanent, and the side fins are longer (about 4"-5") than in previous models. HOWEVER, as of this writing, the pictures of the model being sold here on Amazon appear to be the early 2019 (Version IV) that still has permanent side fins. If you google "Bluefin Cruise Evolution" you will find a great post from a Bluefin marketing person that explains the now six versions of the Cruise, and their differences. Even customer service within Bluefin seems clueless as to their version evolution.
Can you use this board in the Ocean? Sure, it is very thick material and would be fine for the ocean.
Can you actually lean back on the seat? It doesn't look like it really supports you at all. Hi there, you can indeed lean back on the seat. The seat is attached by 2 sets of straps which hook onto a set of D-rings. The seats are also fully adjustable and you can tighten or loosen the straps to make it comfortable for yourself. If you scroll through reviews here you will see comments left by customers about exactly this, people do seem to be pleasantly surprised.
