I'm Abigail Scott, an author, adventurer, and mother of three. When I'm not navigating the beautiful chaos of motherhood, you can find me tackling the turbulent waters as a professional whitewater kayaker or scaling impressive rock faces as a climbing guide. The rush of adrenaline, whether from kayaking or climbing, is a feeling I cherish deeply. But the thrill doesn't stop there; I capture the breathtaking allure of nature through my lens as a professional photographer. And when I'm not submerged in the wild, my software engineering skills amplify my outdoor pursuits, allowing me to harness technology in unique ways. Through my writings, whether articles or blog posts, I share not just my adventures but my heart, hoping to spark a flame of inspiration in others to break boundaries and experience the world's wonders.

FAQs:

I’ve been told inflatables don’t work on Lake Michigan because of the cold water .. put them in the cold water and the air pressure goes down. True?

We have many customers and friends who use their NIXY iSUPs all over Canada right after the lakes and rivers defrost without any problems. We personally haven’t had any trouble padre with pur isups on cold waters.

I'm looking for a fast touring board. I'm intermediate + in experience, but am only 5', 100 lbs. Would the 12'6" length be ok for me?

I would say yes. The Manhattan is light, and you shouldn’t have trouble building and sustaining speed. I’ve raced my Manhattan twice on a 13-mile rough water course, and I trust it more than my 14’ Bark. Easy to carry from the parking lot to the beach, etc. I’ll never buy another straight board after owning a NIXY. In my own time trials, the NIXY is about 15-20 seconds faster per mile. My 80-pound granddaughter can maneuver it easily. Hope this helps.

On this item page, it says it's the 12'6" touring/racing board, but when I add it to my cart, it changes to "all-around paddle 10'6" - which one is it?

Hello, Thank you for your question. This board is a 12'6" touring/racing board. We have been working with Amazon in regards to fixing the names as we have been having trouble with the titles. We apologize for the inconvenience.

How many fins does it have? The picture is unclear.

The NIXY Manhattan comes with one fin.
