Does the grill need any assembling when it arrives? Thank you ahead of time for your reply. Yes, mine arrived yesterday and as John O mentioned, minor assembly is required prior to use - affixing the handle covers and legs - , but it only takes 10 minutes.
This description states that this is a Weber Gas Go-Anywhere charcoal grill, so does that mean you can hook up a gas tank to it? I have the charcoal only model, but there is a model (Go-Anywhere Portable Propane Gas Grill Model # 1141001) that uses a small propane tank.
Can I buy just the grill grate for this grill? I'm not sure. I haven't seen it sold in stores, but it's a pretty heavy-duty grate. I feel confident that the grate will hold up for every long time. Good luck finding a replacement grate.
How much weight will it hold? Could I use a 7-10 Lb cast iron Dutch oven on it? Yes, it holds it fine. Just make the legs are clipped together. I use my cast iron pan for blackened catfish. It really gets the pan hot since it is so close to the coals. Great for searing steaks for the same reason. I like it for dates and yakitori so I don’t have to use my big grills.
