Perception Tribe 11.5 Sit-on-Top Kayak

Description

The Perception Tribe 11.5 is a versatile sit-on-top kayak that offers all-around fun on the water. With its adjustable framed seatback and cushioned seat pan, you can expect a comfortable paddling experience. The molded knee/thigh areas provide additional comfort and a better fit for your body.

One of the great features of this kayak is its integrated footrests, which accommodate paddlers of different sizes. Whether you're tall or short, you'll be able to find a comfortable position to paddle from. The front and rear tank well storage with bungee tiedowns allow you to bring along your gear and keep it secure during your trip.

This kayak is perfect for all types of kayaking activities. Whether you're exploring calm lakes, slow-moving rivers, or even tackling up to class 2 rapids, the Perception Tribe 11.5 can handle it. Made from high-density polyethylene plastic, it is relatively abrasion and impact-resistant, but it's important to be cautious and avoid direct impacts or contact with rocks to prevent hull damage.

If you're concerned about visibility and safety, you may consider purchasing a safety flag for your kayak. I would recommend choosing one of the brighter color selections to enhance your visibility on the water. However, it's worth mentioning that not everyone finds it necessary to have a safety flag on their kayak.

When it comes to shipping, the kayak is usually available for Prime members. However, due to its size, it may take one to two months to ship. In some cases, lucky customers have received their kayak within two weeks, but it's best to anticipate a month-long wait. This delay is solely due to the package size and the shipping company's handling.

For those wondering about transportation, the Perception Tribe 11.5 is compatible with J-rack car carriers. You can easily secure and transport your kayak using J-cradles.

Frequently Asked Questions

I want to buy a safety flag for this what do you recommend

I would recommend you choose one of the brighter color selections. I personally don't have a safety flag on mine.

Can you use this on a shallow river with very small rapids (rocks)?

Yes. The Tribe is technically designed for flat/slow moving water but can be paddled on water with up to class 2 rapids. It is made from high density polyethylene plastic which is relatively abrasion/impact resistant, however, hull damage can still occur from impact or contact with rocks.

Why does it say prime and usually ships within 1 to 2 months. those two contradict one another. if i order now then when shall i get my kayak?

Takes a month even with prime, if you’re lucky it’ll take 2 weeks. this is due solely to package size and shipping company

Will this fit on a j-rack car carrier?

Yes. The Tribe 11.5 fits in J-cradles.
