Abigail ScottBy Abigail Scott
I'm Abigail Scott, an author, adventurer, and mother of three. When I'm not navigating the beautiful chaos of motherhood, you can find me tackling the turbulent waters as a professional whitewater kayaker or scaling impressive rock faces as a climbing guide. The rush of adrenaline, whether from kayaking or climbing, is a feeling I cherish deeply. But the thrill doesn't stop there; I capture the breathtaking allure of nature through my lens as a professional photographer. And when I'm not submerged in the wild, my software engineering skills amplify my outdoor pursuits, allowing me to harness technology in unique ways. Through my writings, whether articles or blog posts, I share not just my adventures but my heart, hoping to spark a flame of inspiration in others to break boundaries and experience the world's wonders.

Thru-Hiker Mesh House 3

Thru-Hiker Mesh House 3

Description

Why We Love the Thru-Hiker Mesh House 3:

When embarking on a months-long thru-hike, every ounce in your pack matters. That's why the MSR Thru-Hiker Mesh House 3 is a game-changer. Weighing in at just a single pound, this ultralight tent provides essential bug protection as you trek through the bug-infested trails of the High Sierras on the PCT or the Blue Ridge Mountains on the Appalachian Trail.

Designed to be versatile, the Mesh House 3 can be pitched beneath MSR's Hiker 70 or 100 Wing (sold separately) to shield you from both bugs and rain. Although it requires trekking poles for setup due to its non-freestanding design, the Thru-Hiker comes with six MSR Needle stakes to ensure a secure shelter for your restful nights.

Product Details:

  • Ultra lightweight shelter perfect for thru-hikes and long-distance backpacking
  • Micromesh canopy enhances ventilation
  • Xtreme Shield floor repels mud and withstands abrasion
  • Non-freestanding design requires trekking poles or trees for setup
