FAQs:
- Will this work on a sun dolphin journey 10? I used it on my Sundolphin Aruba SS12. So I would think it would. I had a hard time getting the old seat off. I had to drill two new holes in the seat to use the two screws that held the original seat in. I would use two Stainless Steel Fender washers when installing this seat in the Sundolphin.
- Will this fit in the bic kalyma? It should fit as long as it's not straight plastic and has the ability to have straps attached. Mine did not but I solved the problem with nice strong Velcro! I hope this helps.
- Will this seat fit into a future beach vector 124? It fit in my Sundolphin Bali 12 SS. I did have to modify the seat by drilling two holes for the hold down screws. I don't see any reason why it wouldn't fit in yours with little to no modifications.
- Will this fit a Sundolphin Aruba 8 ft? It actually has the 4 adjustable straps PLUS a buckle that accepts one strap on each side of top if you choose to and have your own strap. You can buy those snap locks cheap and I make my own up for all sorts of things. I have installed mine in the middle of a 2 person kayak so I have greater weight capacity with a faster kayak as it floats higher so I can go in more shallow too. I just installed some of those fastener points that the brass clips snap on to so this seat would fit any kayak I think. But if you didn't have attachment points for 5 or 6 dollars you can buy some nice forged stainless ones that won't break like nylon ones. Then you can position it anywhere on any kayak. I have great neck support so no kayak seat neck required to go up against. The straps support it fine. And I am 6'2" and 350 lbs, so anyone should easily be supported by the strap mounts as long as you mount them securely or use a piece of plastic or other backing if mounting location is thin. Don't use screws, use stainless bolts with locking nuts on the other side with fender washers. I sometimes buy cheap thin polyethylene cutting board for necking and cut strips to spread force from my leaning back hard on it. It is awesome and supports my neck like lounging on a lawn chair. I bought these for all my kayaks. But my girlfriend likes a lower back. But I think it is the best seat I've ever found.
