Extreme Max Grapnel Anchor Kit

Description

The Extreme Max 3006.6548 BoatTector Complete Grapnel Anchor Kit is a versatile and practical anchor kit designed for personal watercraft, canoes, kayaks, SUPs, and small inflatable boats. It includes a folding anchor, a 25' rope with a plated steel snap hook, a marker buoy, and a durable padded nylon storage bag. This kit is ideal for short-term anchoring and performs well in coral, rocky, or heavily weeded bottom conditions.

The anchor itself is a folding 3.5 lb. grapnel anchor, specifically designed for use in challenging bottom conditions. It is well-suited for anchoring in coral, rocky, or heavily weeded areas. The anchor's compact folding design allows for easy storage inside the included storage bag, along with the rope and marker buoy.

The rope included in the kit is a 25' hollow braid polythene rope, equipped with a steel snap hook for secure attachment to your watercraft. The rope is durable and reliable, providing confidence in your anchoring setup.

For added convenience, the BoatTector Complete Grapnel Anchor Kit includes a marker buoy made of durable marine-grade foam. This buoy helps indicate the location of your anchor, allowing for easy retrieval and preventing accidental damage to your watercraft.

The storage bag provided with the kit is made of sturdy nylon and features protective padding, ensuring the safe and organized storage of your anchor, rope, and marker buoy. This bag is designed to withstand the rigors of transportation and outdoor elements.

Now, let's address some frequently asked questions about the Extreme Max 3006.6548 BoatTector Complete Grapnel Anchor Kit:

How Many Calories In It?

Well, I imagine that you could glean some iron by trying to eat it. But if you are really worried about your calorie intake, I think you could take the anchor out and leave it at home. The temptation will be gone then. Just take the empty bag, and no calories are in the bag at all.

Since this anchor is made with Stainless Steel, would it be usable in saltwater for my coastal kayaking?

Not sure mine is stainless steel. If so, it’s painted, but either way, I wouldn’t hesitate to use it in salt water. If you’re concerned, you can always rinse it off with fresh water afterward. It’s a pretty stout little unit.

I do freshwater kayak fishing. Should I use the 3.5 lb or the 1.5 lb anchor?

3.5 lb, of course. It will be hardly enough. 1.5 lb will be too small for sure.

Will this work for a 14ft Jon boat?

I have a 12-foot Jon boat and use a 12-pound anchor that seems like it's just enough. I wouldn't go less than 15 lb for a 14-foot Jon boat.
