How do I attach the anchor to a standard kayak? It's easy. Instructions are included with the anchor. There are two lines. One goes direct to the anchor. The other is essentially a loop that attaches to the handles on the now and stern. The line to the anchor goes through a ring on the loop along the side of the kayak. You move that line so that the anchor line (rhode) can then be positioned at the bow, or moved to mid-ship when you wish to retrieve it. (For me, I just drop it over the side and loop the anchor line around my waist - but I wouldn't do that in wind or rough water.)
Does the fingers of the anchor foldable? How far does it fold? Yes they fold up against the shaft of the anchor and there is a but style piece that goes over and holds them securely in place. I'd say folded up, it's still 7 inches in diameter.
Does it have a buoy ball and does the rope float? No, both questions.
Does saltwater damage this product? No, I've had mine for 3 years and have taken it in all kinds of saltwater bay, mangrove estuary, rivers, etc. Not a problem.
