I know you are supposed to get a license for GMRS. Do you need anything from the FCC to operate VHF at 6 watts

The radio has FCC certificate for Part 80, so most boaters don't need any additional license for operation within the rules, including use of your ship's callsign on shore adjacent to the waterway, at 1 watt, for limited purposes.

What's the transmit range and receiving range for this radio?

I bought a radius HH 350 Cobra MR nearly one year ago; Excellent battery lasts me 10 days to work the equipment until 1 to 2 hours daily. The strength of this team is very good and powerful, which is up to 6 watts, which do not have other devices from other manufacturers. I'm happy with this radio. I think the scope of this portable radio is about 10 miles.

Is this radio sold as pairs?

Dual Watch allows the radio to SCAN a second calling channel.

Does the 450 come with the belt clip, AC DC battery charger, docking cradle, rechargeable battery and AA battery tray?

Yes but we hated our pair and sent them back within the week. Loud static when talk button released. We ended up with the ones Costco sells and are happy enough. I would recommend going with Motorola ones that are more $.
