A: Attaching and removing the extension can be done by one person, but please note that it is heavy since it is made of metal. It requires one bolt to lock it in place. If you are able to lift the extension's weight without any issues, it shouldn't be too much trouble. It's important to keep in mind that this extension requires more ground clearance than using just the 2-bike holder due to its increased length.

A: Yes, the picture shows the "HOLDUP +2" carrier, which is an accessory for the HOLDUP #8002443 designed for a 2.0" hitch. Please note that it will not fit the HOLDUP model intended for a 1.25" hitch. The HOLDUP is an excellent carrier and can be expanded to a four-bike carrier by purchasing the #800446 extension. However, it is not a stand-alone carrier and is specifically designed to attach to the HOLDUP, not to a trailer hitch. Those who own both items have found this combination to be the best purchase they have ever made for transporting bikes.
