St. Croix Legend Inshore Spinning Rod, LTIS

St. Croix Legend Inshore Spinning Rod, LTIS

Description

I recently purchased the St. Croix Rods Legend Tournament Inshore Spinning Rod, LTIS and I must say, it is a game-changer. This rod features Advanced Reinforcing Technology (ART), which adds an exotic carbon fiber material for greater strength without increasing the diameter or weight of the blank. This means you can confidently handle powerful hook sets and battles with fish.

The integrated Poly Curve (IPC) Tooling Technology eliminates transitional points in the rod blank, resulting in smoother actions, increased strength, and greater sensitivity. This technology really enhances the overall performance of the rod.

When it comes to the features, this rod is packed with high-quality components. It has Kigan Master Hand Zero Tangle guides with slim, strong aluminum-oxide rings and titanium frames. The Fuji TVS blank-touch reel seat with a built-in hood ensures a secure reel attachment. The Kigan titanium hook-keeper is a nice addition.

In terms of durability, this rod is designed to withstand corrosion with its corrosion-proof wind check. The Flex-Coat slow cure finish adds an extra layer of protection. Plus, it is proudly made in the U.S.A, which is always a bonus.

Now let's look at the specifications. The rod measures 7'6" in length and has a medium power and fast action. It is a one-piece rod, so there are no concerns about assembly. The line weight recommended for this rod is 8-17 lbs and the lure weight is 3/8-3/4 oz. It weighs 5.5 oz and features a comfortable handle.

One of the standout features of this rod is the 15-year transferable warranty offered by St. Croix. It's always reassuring to know that the manufacturer stands behind their product.

FAQs:

Is the 7 ft a 2-piece rod?

No, all of the Legend Tournament Rods are one piece. St. Croix uses model numbers to indicate the series, length, and action of their rods. In this case, "LTIS" stands for Legend Tournament In Shore, "70" indicates 7 feet 0 inches, and "MF" represents Medium Fast Action.

How does this rod come shipped?

Hello, rod orders fulfilled and shipped directly from our store are packaged in heavy cardboard shipping tubes with bubble wrap to protect any points of contact on the rod inside the tube.

I have the mhf ltis and I have it paired with a twin power fd4000 and 30-pound braid. But when using a 3/4 oz al gags, the rod seems kind of flimsy. Why is that?

The St. Croix Legend Tournament Inshore Spinning Rod has a softer feel and is more sensitive compared to other rods. It might take some time to get used to it, but you will appreciate its sensitivity in the long run.

Is the 8 ft rod medium-heavy (MHF) or heavy (HF)? The description mentions MHF, but the rating shows HF. Can you clarify?

I received the 8 ft heavy rod, and as far as I know, the 8 ft Legend Tournament Inshore Spinning Rod only comes in heavy power. It's possible that there might be some inconsistency in the description, but the St. Croix website only offers the 8 ft rod in heavy power. If you have any concerns, it's best to clarify with the seller and leave a note to request a hard cardboard shipping tube for better protection during shipping.

Overall, the St. Croix Rods Legend Tournament Inshore Spinning Rod, LTIS is a high-quality rod that offers exceptional strength, sensitivity, and durability. With its advanced technology and reliable construction, it's a great choice for anglers who want to take their inshore fishing to the next level.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the 7 ft a 2 piece rod?

NO all of the Legend Tournament Rods are one piece. I have a lot of St Croix Rods, love them. Believe it or not the model #'s make sense on their rods. The first letters are the Series in this case "LTIS" = Legend Tournament In Shore "70" = 7 Feet 0 Inches "MF" = Medium Fast Action. If it was a 2, 3, or 4 Piece that number would be at the end of the model.

It definitely has a "softer"..feel..more sensitive too...you will get used to it .

Is the 8ft rod mhf or hf? when i click on it the description says mhf but the rating shows hf...??

I recieved the 8ft heavy and I believe the 8ft legend only comes in heavy I could be wrong but that's all st croix website offers. Leave a note for seller to ship in hard cardboard tube otherwise they ship $300 rod in flimsy box I had to send rod back twice cus they were broke due to crappie packaging
