Riot Escape 12 Angler Kayak

Description

The Riot Kayaks Escape 12 Angler sit-on-top is designed with fishing in mind, offering features that cater to serious anglers. It provides a perfect balance of stability and performance, along with an impressive load capacity to ensure you are well-prepared and organized during your fishing trips.

This kayak is suitable for all types of fishing environments and is equipped with numerous features. These include a sit-on-top high back outfitting, adjustable sliding foot braces, a pilot rudder system, an anchor trolley system, a front hatch with a dual-density hatch cover, and an integrated console with a molded-in cup holder. Additionally, it features two 4-inch deck plates, two paddle hooks, an adjustable rod holder, two front and two rear flush mount rod holders, rear deck shock cord storage, two rubber handles, a drain plug, and scupper plugs.

The pilot rudder is made from glass-reinforced plastic, making it lightweight yet strong with a profiled blade. It retains the low-windage openwork design, vibration-dampening rubberized V-block, and oval pulleys that are known for their smooth operation.

The mounted rod holder is versatile, rotating 360 degrees and adjusting vertically for precise placement. Its rear saddle accepts all types of rod and reel combinations, while a large swivel locking ring prevents rod loss. The vertical swivel movement allows for easy rod positioning.

Now, let's address some frequently asked questions about the Riot Kayaks Escape 12 Angler:

Can you stand up in it? I would not recommend standing up in this kayak.

What is the max load on this kayak? I'm not sure of the exact poundage, but given its 12-foot length, ample stowage options, good freeboard, and sturdy construction, it can handle a substantial load. You may want to contact the manufacturer for specific weight capacity details.

I would like to purchase scupper plugs. If they are needed, what size should I get? The Riot Kayaks Escape 12 Angler kayak comes with scupper plugs included. However, most users rarely find the need to use them as the water does not usually come up through the holes. Instead, they serve as convenient access points for cleaning away any messes from the fish.

Does it come with a paddle? When I purchased this kayak, it did not come with a paddle. However, it did include a seat and a trolley anchor system. Best wishes.

Things we like

  • A large cockpit with a storage hatch in the front and bungee rigging in the back
  • A satisfactory balance between dependability and performance
  • Option for hunters on a tighter budget that is still affordable

Things we don't like

  • It's possible that larger paddlers or those who carry a lot of gear won't be able to handle the 300-pound limit.
  • It does not have sufficient support for standing on it.
  • There are few solutions available for dry storage.
  • There are moments when the tracking is a little bit sloppy.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you stand up in it

I would not

what is the max load on this kayak

I'm not sure of the exact poundage, but I have to believe you would have a tough time exceeding it. This is a 12 foot kayak with lots of stowage internally and externally. I has good freeboard as well. You may want to check with the manufacturer to get the exact specs.

i would like to purchase scubber plugs , if they are needed. The plugs come in different sizes, what size i would need

Steve G. is correct. This Kayak came with the plugs. However I rarely use mine as the water never comes up through the holes and it makes a good place to wash any messes away from the fish.

Does it come with a paddle

When I bought mines it did not. It did come with a seat, and a trolley anchor system. Best wishes
