Rightline Gear Foam Block Kayak Carrier

Description

The Rightline Gear Foam Block Kayak Carrier is a convenient and versatile option for transporting your kayak. Whether you have a roof rack or not, this carrier can be easily attached to your vehicle. The carrier's straps can be secured to a roof rack or use the Car Clips to attach them to the vehicle's door frame weather molding. No need for the straps to run through the inside of the vehicle! This innovative design makes the installation process hassle-free.

The Kayak Carrier features Dual Lock Straps that ensure the foam blocks stay securely in place on the rack or roof, without any shifting during transport. These same straps also secure the kayak to the foam blocks, providing increased stability. The foam blocks have a v-shaped top that cradle the kayak safely, while rubber guards protect both the vehicle and kayak from the metal cam buckles on the straps. With this carrier, getting your boat to the water has never been easier!

  • Now, let's address some frequently asked questions:

    Do these compress much?

Hi David, no, the foam does not compress very much when used with a kayak.

Can I use this and strap down to my roof with a sunroof?

Hello. We have used the Foam Block Kayak Carrier on vehicles with sunroofs without issue. However, we recommend checking with your vehicle's manufacturer to double-check compatibility.

I am planning to haul a rod tube that is 9 inches in diameter and 8 feet long. Can I use these pads to cradle the tube and protect everything?

Hi there, we do not suggest using the Kayak Carrier to secure a rod tube. It was specifically designed for larger objects and may not properly secure something as small as a rod tube.

What is the height, 4.69 inches or 16.3 inches?

Hi Christy, the height of the mesh carry sack is 16.3" when filled with the foam blocks and straps. The physical foam blocks themselves sit 4.69" tall when installed on the roof of the vehicle.
