Title: Jetboil Flash Camping and Backpacking Stove Cooking System
Advanced for 2018! Boiling water may not be rocket science, but doing it in 100 seconds takes a lot more than rubbing two sticks together. To create the new Flash, we challenged every aspect of our already iconic stove, modeling the combustion and selecting materials to optimize efficiency, speed, and precision. The result is our fastest-ever stove: a backcountry cooking system that cuts a full minute off our best boil time. Prepare for liftoff.
Optimized for efficiency, the Jetboil Flash boils water in a lightning-quick 100 seconds, making it the fastest Jetboil ever.
Jetboil's 1-liter FluxRing cooking cup with insulating cozy makes boiling water—and keeping it warm—a breeze.
Start heating instantly with the convenient, reliable pushbutton igniter, and verify that the water's ready with the thermochromatic color-change heat indicator.
Compatible Jetboil accessories, such as a coffee press, hanging kit, pot support, skillet, FluxRing cooking pot, and utensils make this a necessity for your next backpacking adventure.
Includes fuel canister stabilizer; bottom cup doubles as a measuring cup and a bowl; easy to pack and carry at only 13.1 ounces. One-year limited warranty. For any adventure—from alpine expedition to a weekend trek—Jetboil offers a stove that will keep you fueled. When exploring the backcountry, a compact and efficient stove is fundamental, no matter the level of cuisine you want to create.
Can other fuel cans work or does it have to be the Jetboil fuel?
Other fuel cans are fine.
Is the ring you turn to increase flame supposed to be broken? It’s split in one part. Not sure if mine was damaged on arrival or if it’s meant?
No, return it and get a new one. Because if you don’t turn it in the right way, it might force it to come off. If that happens, you have to put it back into its place.
Can I safely carry this when traveling domestic or international?
Hello, thank you for your inquiry. Yes, although you’ll have to leave your fuel at home. While the FAA allows you to travel with your camping stove (“Camp stoves can travel as carry-on or checked luggage only if empty of all fuel and cleaned such that vapors and residue are absent. Simply emptying the fuel container is insufficient as flammable vapors remain. TSA recommends you ship these ahead of time as they are frequently confiscated due to fuel vapors”), Federal law prohibits airlines from taking compressed gas cylinders onboard. Please check our Jetboil Dealer Locator for a list of retailers near your destination. As always, when in doubt, please check with the specific airline you are traveling with for complete rules and guidelines.* Please note that Hawaiian Airlines does not allow stoves of any kind, used or new, to be checked or carried on. Please don't hesitate to contact us with any additional questions you may have.
I like the picture of the Jetboil nestled in the pine needles - is that... recommended?
Forest bathing is a long honored Japanese tradition that is known to help reduce stress levels. Relaxing under a canopy of large pines can only help you center your chakras. Enjoying a nice cup of hot tea would help further reach your relaxing Nirvana. The Flash stove would make it easy to recreate this serene scene. The flame on the stove is very well contained and would be fine unless you carelessly knock over the stove.
