I see it fits a "standard bed". Does that include a 5.5' bed? I have a new 2014 supercrew. Thanks.
There is a different size bedXtender for each truck and each bed size and how you want to use it. I have a Dodge Ram dual cab and exchanged one xtender for a larger size so that it would extend to the very end of the tailgate. This way, I can fit motorcycles all the way to the end of the bed.
Work with a roll-up tonneau cover? 2011 F150 XLT
If you have a roll-up tonneau cover, you will need an additional mounting bracket kit (part # 74605-01A) that will prevent the bed extender from interfering with the side rails of the roll-up cover. Currently, we do not have this bracket kit on Amazon, but we do have it available in our warehouse and can add it to your order for an additional $27.00 if you call in to order. Our number is 1-800-305-1853. Thanks.
Will this fit a 2013 F150 SuperCrew?
Yes, I installed it on a 2013 Platinum which is a standard supercrew cab. It works on the short or long bed. If you want to avoid drilling into your bed walls, get the Ford F150 bracket install kit. It uses the same factory holes for the factory bed extender to install the mounting bracket. I did this since I had a factory-installed sprayed bed liner and did not want to drill into the liner or bed walls.
Will this work with a flip back tonneau cover without the special brackets?
Yes, I have the Undercover Ultra Flex flip cover and it works great. My only complaint on this bed extender is that on my '14 Ram 1500, the extender goes about 1/2" or a little less, passed the tailgate edge, and therefore it doesn't sit right on the tailgate. Still, it works as intended and locks in place using straps and tailgate locks.
