Experience Prime Fishing in Winchester Bay with SOA Charters

Winchester Bay, Oregon is a prime destination for fishing enthusiasts. Located at the mouth of the Umpuqua River and the Pacific Ocean, it offers abundant opportunities for anglers to engage in thrilling battles with an array of fish species. SOA Charters specializes in guiding anglers to the most productive fishing spots in the area.

Our vessel of choice is the 28’ 250 Alaskan, a top-quality offshore fishing boat manufactured by Hewescraft. This state-of-the-art beauty was built in 2020 and is equipped with twin Yamaha engines, each boasting an impressive 150 HP. With a capacity to comfortably accommodate 6 anglers, it ensures an enjoyable and spacious fishing experience. The boat is also equipped with a convenient live bait well, giving you an added advantage when pursuing your target fish.

Captain Travis Marsh, a seasoned expert in ocean fishing, will lead your expedition as you set out to catch the magnificent Salmon that populate the area. The Pink Fin Perch is also a sought-after species on our catch list. Furthermore, we take advantage of the thriving crab population in Winchester Bay, taking you directly to the best crabbing spots available. Whether you prefer light or heavy tackle, trolling, bottom fishing, or handline techniques, all necessary equipment will be provided by the charter.

We welcome children of all ages to join us on our fishing trips, although a minimum age requirement of 5 applies. Captain Marsh ensures the availability of life vests in all sizes for the safety of our younger guests. Our crew will gladly clean and fillet your catch at no extra cost, and if desired, the local fishery can cook and clean your crab for a nominal fee. We recommend bringing suitable clothing, sunscreen, and polarized sunglasses to ensure utmost comfort during your trip.
