At Dog Bone Charters, Captain Greg Prieur is dedicated to ensuring you have an enjoyable and safe adventure. As a native of Michigan, Capt. Greg has spent his entire life fishing in the area. He turned his lifelong passion into a licensed guiding profession, offering trips from May through October.

Capt. Greg specializes in trolling, a highly productive fishing technique in Manistee. His targeted species include Lake Trout, Rainbow Trout (Steelhead), Coho Salmon, and Chinook Salmon. To entice the hard-fighting Salmon, you'll be using irresistible cut bait.

Fishing takes place aboard a 30’ Cherokee sportfishing boat equipped with 2 powerful 350 HP Crusader engines. This boat comfortably accommodates groups of up to 6 guests, providing ample seating space. While waiting for the fish to bite, you can relax under the hardtop or soak up the sun at the back of the boat. Additional amenities include a private toilet, icebox for storing the catch, and downriggers.

At the end of your trip, Captain Greg will proudly display your catch for trophy photos and then expertly clean and package your fish for you to take home. You are welcome to bring your own cooler for snacks and drinks. Please note that all individuals aged 17 and older must obtain a valid Michigan fishing license prior to the trip.

Your adventure will commence at Manistee Marina, where free parking is available nearby. Please arrive at least 15 minutes early to meet the crew and load your belongings onto the boat.
