Protect your legs from sun and splashes while kayaking with the Wilderness Systems Sunshield. This accessory is constructed from durable nylon and offers a non-confining design for an open cockpit feel with sun protection. It features an implosion bar that prevents water from pooling on top of the sun shield and sticky edging that grips the cockpit rim tightly. The rear bungee rand allows for easy on/off installation, and there is a large mesh zippered pocket for additional storage. The Sunshield is compatible with the Pungo 105/120/125, Aspire 100/105, and other kayaks with cockpit dimensions of length 50-58 inches and width 21-24 inches.

Here are some frequently asked questions about the Wilderness Systems Sunshield:
A: Spray skirts are primarily designed to keep the inside of your kayak dry. They have a waist tunnel that creates a seal around your torso and a full deck that covers the entire cockpit to prevent water from entering. The Sunshield provides coverage over the front portion of the cockpit and is a great option for blocking small amounts of spray, drips, wind, and UV rays during light to moderate paddling conditions. It also allows you to enter and exit your kayak freely without the restrictions of a spray skirt. However, it is not designed to prevent large amounts of water from entering your kayak in heavy to extreme conditions or in the event of capsizing.
A: The Sunshield is fairly universal and works great for cockpits 45 inches and longer. On cockpits shorter than 45 inches, the material may overlap the seating area and need to be pushed forward to create more room. However, this may cause the shield to bunch up, making it less effective during harsh water conditions.
A: The Sunshield should fit your kayak. If it doesn't quite fit, my apologies, as I do not own a Pelican Mustang 100x. However, if you can fit it on your kayak, it works really well and can block out some waves too. You should get the W12 size.
A: Yes. The Sunshield will fit on the cockpit of the Pamlico 13.5.
