I'm Abigail Scott, an author, adventurer, and mother of three. When I'm not navigating the beautiful chaos of motherhood, you can find me tackling the turbulent waters as a professional whitewater kayaker or scaling impressive rock faces as a climbing guide. The rush of adrenaline, whether from kayaking or climbing, is a feeling I cherish deeply. But the thrill doesn't stop there; I capture the breathtaking allure of nature through my lens as a professional photographer. And when I'm not submerged in the wild, my software engineering skills amplify my outdoor pursuits, allowing me to harness technology in unique ways. Through my writings, whether articles or blog posts, I share not just my adventures but my heart, hoping to spark a flame of inspiration in others to break boundaries and experience the world's wonders.

Description

CAMP USA Turbolock

The Turbolock is a compact, robust, and highly efficient progress capture pulley. Its ergonomic design allows for easy operation with just one hand. The unique locking mechanism allows you to insert the rope without removing the device from the anchor, and it ensures that the pulley cannot be accidentally opened when under load.

The toothed cam is specially designed to provide immediate and secure grip on ropes ranging from 8 to 13 mm. The cam can be easily enabled or disabled using a switch that is protected within the flanges, preventing any unintended activations. With a single movement, you can open the cam for effortless insertion or removal of the rope, or use the device as a non-locking simple pulley. Two movements are required to enable the cam for secure locking.

This pulley features two attachment points, including the main attachment point and the becket hole, allowing for full rotation of carabiners and ensuring maximum ease of use. The large diameter sheave is equipped with sealed ball bearings, providing exceptional efficiency of up to 95%. The Turbolock is built to last, with hot forged side plates, a precision milled aluminum alloy sheave, and stainless steel cam, rivets, and pins.
