Experience Northeast Influence on the Bug Sportfishing Boat | Book Now!

Welcome aboard Bug Sportfishing! Captain James, with his extensive fishing experience across the United States, blends south Florida light tackle techniques with a touch of northeastern influence. Whether it's Striped Bass, Fluke, Tuna, or Marlin, Capt. James maximizes every fishing opportunity.

The Bug, a 31' Contender Fisharound, is your fishing vessel. Equipped with twin 300 horsepower Yamaha Outboards, it offers speed, comfort, and fuel efficiency. With a fully open cockpit and top-notch gear, including Garmin electronics and FLIR night-vision, the Bug ensures a remarkable fishing experience.

Capt. James and his crew are always ready to encounter something extraordinary while fishing for your target species. From inshore species to Tuna, they enjoy using techniques like slow pitch jigging and chunking. In the 2023 season, Capt. James will focus on Striped Bass in April to Early June, then shift to Bluefin, Yellowfin, and Bigeye Tuna, as well as Mahi-Mahi and White Marlin during the summer. In the fall, it's back to hunting stripers. Inshore/Ground-fish trips are available on select dates.

Beginners are welcome, and the crew will customize your trip to match your skill level. While they provide all the necessary tackle, they prefer to use lighter tackle for added enjoyment.

At Bug Sportfishing, the goal is to have fun and create lasting memories through fish-catching adventures. See you at the dock!
