IKURAM R Kayak/Surf/Ski Roof Carrier Rack

Description

I recently purchased the IKURAM R Kayak/Surf/Ski Roof Carrier Rack and I must say, I am extremely satisfied with its performance and versatility. This rack is suitable for a wide range of outdoor activities such as canoeing, stand-up paddleboarding, kayaking, surfing, and even skiing. It offers a convenient and secure way to transport your gear on the rooftop of your SUV, car, or truck.

One of the standout features of this roof carrier rack is its J-style folding design. This allows you to easily load and unload your kayak or other water sports equipment. The folding feature also makes it more compact for storage when not in use.

Now, let me address some frequently asked questions about this product:

Is it possible to carry one kayak (only) flat with the bottom of it down?

Yes, I have done it once with a single kayak, but I would recommend using foam hull blocks instead. They are not only cheaper but also provide better support. However, if you prefer the look of the flat bottom, this rack can accommodate it.

Will this carry a double person kayak?

Absolutely! I own a 12-foot tandem Oceans kayak, and this rack handles it perfectly. It provides a secure and stable hold, giving me peace of mind during transportation.

Will these work with Honda CRV standard crossbars?

Yes, they work great with Honda CR-V's standard crossbars. I personally have a 2012 Honda CR-V with the factory crossbars, and the compatibility is excellent. It saves me from the hassle of purchasing additional accessories or modifying my vehicle.

I have 1 1/4” space between the roof and the bottom of my crossbars. Will these damage my roof or is that enough space?

The good news is that these racks do not extend below the crossbars, so there shouldn't be any damage to your roof. As long as your crossbars can handle the weight of your kayak, you should have no problem with the 1 1/4” space. However, I must clarify that I have about 3 inches of space, but based on my experience, there is no movement and everything remains secure.

In conclusion, the IKURAM R Kayak/Surf/Ski Roof Carrier Rack is an excellent choice for anyone looking to transport their water sports equipment with ease and confidence. Its folding design, versatility, and compatibility with different vehicle models make it a top contender in the market. I highly recommend this rack for all outdoor enthusiasts.
