Skog Å Kust Anchor & Dry Bag

Description

Skog Å Kust 2-in-1 Anchor & Dry Bag is a versatile product that serves multiple purposes. It can be used as a sand anchor for personal watercraft, kayaks, rafts, floats, and paddle boards. Additionally, it can also function as a 20L waterproof dry bag, providing protection for your clothes, devices, and personal belongings.

The bag is constructed from heavy-duty 500D PVC with welded seams, ensuring durability and longevity. It features UTX clips, d-rings, and a convenient bottom strap for easy emptying.

SandSåk comes packaged with a 12’ long braided floating rope, equipped with two rustproof 316 stainless steel clips and a buoy. This makes it suitable for use in both fresh and saltwater.

The bag has been designed with custom high visibility yellow and green colors, allowing it to be easily visible and accessible, even at night.

At Skog Å Kust, customer satisfaction is a top priority. All their products are backed by a satisfaction guarantee and a lifetime warranty for manufacturing defects.

If you are wondering about the dimensions of the bag, the empty and flat measurements are 22 inches tall and 14.75 inches wide. When closed and full, the bag measures 16 inches tall with a 10-inch diameter. The weight of the bag is 14.2 ounces (0.88 lbs).

When using the bag as a sand anchor, it doesn't matter whether you use dry or wet sand. However, it is recommended to push any excess air out before rolling down and sealing the bag to avoid extra buoyancy.

As for using the bag with a 21 ft power boat, it depends on the size of the lake and the intensity of the storms. With a weight of 50 lbs, it should be suitable for most situations. Adding a bungee anchor rope can provide additional shock absorption to the waves.

If you live near the ocean, rest assured that the bag can handle the drift that comes with tides. While it hasn't been specifically tested with tides, it has been proven to hold tubes, rafts, and water mats in place effectively even under wave action caused by wake boats.

Do you put dry or wet sand in the bag? Or does it not matter?

Hi Cliff, thank you for your question. Either wet or dry sand will work, just be sure you push any excess air out before you roll down and seal the bag to avoid any extra buoyancy. I hope this information was helpful. -S.Å.K.

Hi. Would this work with a 21 ft power boat?

It depends on how big of lake you're using it on and how big of storm that rolls through. This is 50 lbs so I think it will work. I've ran a 20 lbs anchor on my 21' Malibu so I'm going to add this to my anchor locker. I would also add a bungee anchor rope. This gives some shock absorption to the waves.

I live near the ocean. How does this bag handle to drift that comes with tides?

We use our Sand Saks on an inland lake, so we don't contend with tides, but there is a great deal of wave action with wake boats. When filled with sand, the Saks holdthe tubes, rafts and water mats in place well
