ReelSonar Bluetooth Fish Finder

ReelSonar Bluetooth Fish Finder

Description

ReelSonar Wireless Bluetooth Smart Fish Finder is a portable fish finder that is easy to use. It has a depth range of 135 feet and a rechargeable battery life of 10+ hours. It is compatible with both IOS and Android apps and uses Bluetooth technology.

The Sonar signals integrated in the fish finder find and reflect visual images of both static and moving objects beneath the water's surface. It also color codes depth-tagged fish icons based on their size.

To be alerted when fish congregate under docks and piers, you can turn on the fish alarm when using iBobber's fishfinder feature. Additionally, with the strike alert, iBobber can even let you know when fish are biting.

With a fish finder, you can go out anytime to test the waters. It doesn't matter if it's freshwater or saltwater, shore fishing, or fishing on the ice. You can simply turn on your fish finder and begin hunting.

The ReelSonar Wireless Bluetooth Smart Fish Finder also makes a great gift for fishing enthusiasts. Whether you're looking for a present for your husband, father, friends, or any angler, this fish detector is now better than ever.

Comparing the iBobber to the more expensive Deeper portable fish finder, the Deeper offers more detailed hardware and software. The Deeper has a 90 degree and 120 degree scan, while the iBobber only has a 90 degree scan. The Deeper also shows 4 different sizes of fish and offers various types of "fish" alarms. Both devices offer a 15-minute sonar scan replay. However, it's worth noting that both require re-syncing before each use. If considering another sonar ball, it may be worth looking into sonar scanners available in an RC boat package, as they offer easier control and less water noise when casting bobbers. Nonetheless, if getting another sonar "bobber," the Deeper is recommended.

The ReelSonar Wireless Bluetooth Smart Fish Finder should work with Amazon Fire OS, but you might need to sideload the app since Amazon runs on Android.

While you can't cast the iBobber by itself without a hook, you can attach a release clip to a separate line. This won't work for casting, but if you're letting it out in a current, it can be neat to see the fish hit the bait. However, there's always a risk of losing the device on a fish.

The iBobber does not require 4G service or any cell tower signal to work. It uses a free software app downloaded to your phone, which then connects to the fish finder via Bluetooth.

Frequently Asked Questions

Anyone compare the iBobber to the very similar (but 2x more expensive) Deeper portable fish finder?

Yes. I had the Deeper first, but lost the device in a rainstorm. I decided to get the iBobber as a replacement to the Deeper. The Deepers hardware and software is much more detailed than the iBobbers. The iBobbers only has a 90 degree scan, as opposed to the Deepers 90 degree, and 120 degree scans. The Deeper shows 4 different sizes of fish, along with several types of "fish" alarms. Both offer a 15 minute sonar scan replay. Please note that both sonar bobbers require re-syncing upon each and every use. As the sonar bobbers only turn on when in the water or charging. The Deeper has quicker syncing time than that of the iBobber. If I had to buy another sonar ball, I might first look at the sonar scanners available in a RC boat package. The RC option seems much easier to get the sonar scans "where" you want them, and less water noise when casting your sonar bobbers out. If I had to get another sonar "bobber" I would recommend the Deeper.Does this justify Deepers cost of roughly 2X the iBobber? What the iBobber brings to the table is simple easy to use scanning. The Deeper offers much more than the iBobber in regards to hardware and software

does this work with Amazon fire OS

You might have to sideload the app but Amazon runs on andriod so it's probably possible

can you cast this by its own with no hook on one pool and cast a compleat ring with another pool. That way the ibobber scans and gives me readings??

I am considering a release clip on the I bobber to a separate line. It won't work for casting but if you are letting it out in a current it may be neat to see the fish hit the bait. But I would hate to lose it on a fish.

Does the ibobber require a 4g service to work? my location is remote and poor reception to a tower.

The ibobber uses a free software App downloaded to your phone. The ibobber then connects to your phone by Bluetooth to run through the App. It does not use or require any cell tower signal to work.
