Oru Kayak Foldable Kayak

Description

Oru Kayak Foldable Kayak - Stable, Lightweight Folding Kayaks

Oru’s flagship kayak – The Coast XT is the kayak that simply won’t quit. Made for serious kayakers, this innovative fold-out boat remains stable in harsh waters, endures long expeditions, and is designed for premium speed and handling.

From box to boat in minutes – Construct your kayak in under 5 minutes! Oru pioneered the Coast XT’s origami-inspired, foldable structure, so you won’t spend forever setting up or waste time lugging around a boat!

Sleek, durable, & reliable – Although your kayak is small enough to carry when folded, it is most certainly mighty. Oru Kayaks undergo extensive strength and durability testing, rated at 20,000 folds and exceed U.S. Coast Guard recreational vessel requirements. Each kayak comes with a full 12-month warranty & 30-day money back guarantee!

No roof rack required - Fits into the trunk of a small car or our Oru Pack carrying case [sold separately] for easy transport when hiking, bicycling, and using public transportation. Your Coast XT is the most convenient, transportable kayak imaginable.

Award-winning design - featured on Shark Tank, Forbes, CNN, Wall Street Journal, and Oprah Magazine, there are now more than 15,000 Oru Kayaks out on the water.

FAQs:

Does Oru make a two-person kayak?

Yes, we do! Currently not available on Amazon, but coming August of 2019!

What is the tracking like?

The Oru Beach LT is stable with superior tracking in the water. It's intended for use in smooth calm water, like lakes, rivers, and streams.

Is there a weight limit on the user?

I’m not sure about a weight limit, but with me, my dog, etc. it comes to almost 300 pounds. It could handle more though because the sides of the kayak are still about 3-4 inches out of the water.

Does anyone have an inflatable kayak and can compare what their thoughts are?

The question is pretty open and depends on what you want to do. High-end IKs are pretty durable and models like the Sea Eagle Razor Lite are fast. Usually, an IK will hold higher weights. If you are looking to go offshore though, most IKs are more of a hybrid SOT, where with Oru you can get more of a feel of a traditional kayak. There are also Pakayaks and other nesting or folding kayaks out there too.

Things we like

  • Light weight
  • Easy to Carry

Things we don't like

  • Not suitable for tough conditions
