FAQs:

Q: Can two kayaks be mounted onto a 58" versarail car rack (for a bare roof) using the SeaWings?

A: We are able to fit 2 sets of SeaWings on our rack on our Nissan Murano no problem. Two full-size sit-on-top kayaks fit as well.

Q: Does anyone have any experience with mounting these on factory installed Subaru Outback oval bars?

A: These fit the factory racks on my 5th Gen Outback (2015 on).

Q: I have a 90 lb 35" wide Lifetime Beacon kayak. Will this rack system work?

A: Your kayak will fit, but you need to be aware of a few things. The SeaWing holds it fine, but when loading, you need to be cognizant of the fact that as wide as your yak is, it isn't going to "nestle" down into the V of the wing like a narrow one would. Once it's centered on the wings, it's secure. Because it mounts in the center of the V, I can carry two wide yaks on my camper shell-mounted racks since the yaks can hang over the side of the truck slightly. Ultimately, even with the small issue loading, the SeaWings serve me well. I never worry about my rigs once strapped down.

Q: Does the clamps fit 2017 Toyota Prius Prime cargo bar?

A: The clamps will fit any bar less than 1.75" thick.

I have a 90 lb 35" wide Lifetime Beacon kayak. Will this rack system work?

Hi Katie, Your kayak will fit but you need to be aware of a few things... For reference, I have a 12 ft Perception Pescador Pro. 34" wide and about 75 lbs and fairly flat on the bottom. The sea wing holds it fine but when loading, you need to be cognizant of the fact that as wide as your yak is, it isn't going to "nestle" down into the V of the wing like a narrow one would. It simply means that you will be making sure the yak doesn't slide off to the side when loading. Once it's centered on the wings, its secure as Fort Knox. Because it mounts in the center of eth V, I can carry two wide yaks on my camper shell-mounted racks since the yaks can hang over the side of the truck slightly. Ultimately, even with the small issue loading (and its nots really a PITA), the sea wings serve me well. I never worry about my rigs once strapped down.
