Lasso Kong Kayak Lock System

Description

The Lasso Kong Cable Tour Kayak Lock System offers the greatest protection and versatility for single-occupant, closed-deck touring kayaks. It is designed with a high-impact protective plastic covering to prevent scratches on your vehicle and kayak.

The lock can be opened using either a key or a combination, providing you with convenience and flexibility. A sliding keyhole cover ensures that salt air and debris do not clog the locking mechanism.

This lock fits all single-occupant closed-deck touring kayaks and features a galvanized steel aircraft cable that is vinyl-coated to be " thick, ensuring durability and security. The combination can be easily set to a 4-digit number of your choice.

Unlike other locks, the Lasso Kong Cable Tour Kayak Lock System secures the entire kayak and not just a grab loop, offering enhanced security. It also acts as a visible deterrent, deterring potential thieves.

The Lasso Kong Cable Tour Kayak Lock System weighs 4.5 lbs and has an overall length of 16 ft. The loop size is approximately 47", while the tail length with the lock is approximately 75".

In conclusion, the Lasso Kong Cable Tour Kayak Lock System is a stylish and innovative product that provides excellent protection for your kayak. It is manufactured to the highest quality standards and makes a great gift idea.

Answering FAQs:

Had to reset my password sorry if this is a duplicate. What would be the best lasso lock for my sit-in Ascend FS10 Fishing Kayak, 10'2"?

The touring lasso description says the loop is 47" if I recall correctly. That is a generous measure - it is more like 43-44". So depends on the girth of your kayak whether the touring lasso will fit. As far as length, I wrap the cables around the feet of the roof rack until the length is right. I am not sure of the tandem measurements. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Can I loop this around a tree and through the handle of the kayak and then lock it?

The problem with looping it through the handle is that someone could slice through the handle to remove the cable if it's a flexible handle made of nylon rope like mine has. If the handle is metal or molded resin that's built into the body of the boat, it might well work. I still haven't found a way to secure my kayak completely with this lock system, nor the looped-cable version I purchased when this one didn't work for my situation (securing a kayak to an outdoor kayak stand). This one seems best suited to securing a kayak to the roof of a car, I think. I'd consult with the pros at a sporting goods shop to figure out what kind of cable and lock system would work for you. Good luck!

Is this the 3/8" version or the 1/2" version?

The one I got for my touring kayak is model #2015, I believe, and it is a 3/8" diameter cable - I measured it to be sure. Very nice piece of equipment.

I have a Jackson Cuda 12. What length should I get?

I don't know anything about the sit-on-top cable. The touring should be fine (that is what I have). I have a Delta 12 and the cable is long enough I have to/can wrap excess around the rack bars several times to take up the slack. I believe the total length of the cable is 16'.
