Description

Garage Hoist - 100 lbs, Ceiling Mount

The Cargoloc 32522 Garage Hoist is an efficient and reliable ceiling-mounted hoist designed to lift items up to 100 lbs. Whether you want to store your bike, kayak, or boxes in your garage, this hoist provides a convenient storage solution.

Installing the hoist on a slanted ceiling is not a problem. You can easily adjust the ropes to keep the object level by pulling one higher than the other. One user shared that it works great for their bike, even on a vaulted ceiling.

If you're wondering whether you can strap your push-type lawnmower and mount it to the ceiling, the answer is yes. Mount the brackets close together and be a little inventive with the straps. However, keep in mind that the handle of the mower might cause it to hang pretty low unless it folds down.

The hooks on this hoist cannot be removed unless you drill out the rivets. However, if you prefer using carabiners instead, you can attach them to the hooks. As for how close to the ceiling you can raise a canoe, one user mentioned that they have their kayak hoisted up as far as it will go, and it sits about 14-15 inches from the ceiling. The system is sturdy and of good quality, prompting this user to purchase additional hoists.

When it comes to hanging a bike, it's an easy task with this hoist. As long as your ceiling is tall enough, you can flip the bike over and hang the tires on the hooks. Alternatively, you can hang the bike on the frame without any issues.

Frequently Asked Questions

I want to lift boxes into a garage storage space using the ceiling above the storage space which is slanted; will these work?

It can be installed on a vaulted ceiling. You just pull one rope higher than the other to keep the object level. Works great for my bike.

Is it possible to tie my push type lawn mower and mount it to the ceiling using the straps?

I don't see why not if you mount the brackets close together. You may have to get inventive with the straps. Handle of mower would make it hang pretty low unless it folds down

Can the hooks be removed for replacing them with a carabiner? How close to the ceiling can the canoe be raised?

The only way the hooks can be removed is by drilling out the rivets. I have my kayak hoisted up as far as it will go and it right 14-15 inches from the ceiling. This is a sturdy system and I have bough two more since my first as I am please with the quality. I plan on purchasing 2 or 3 more.

Would this work for a bike?

Easy peasy. If your ceiling is tall enough, yes. I'd just flip over the bike and hang the tires on the hooks. Or you could just as easily hang on the frame.
