Yak Stik Mud Anchor

Description

Yak Stik Mud Anchor is a fiberglass construction product made in the USA. It is designed for anchoring kayaks, canoes, and even small boats up to 16 feet long. The Yak stick has a size of 6-Feet and includes all the necessary hardware for installation. It also comes with mini pole clips for easy storage when not in use. The T handle of the Yak Stik Mud Anchor offers a comfortable grip while anchoring and can be turned over and used as a push pole.

Unfortunately, this Yak Stik Mud Anchor does not float. However, YakGear does offer a floatable stake-out-stick if you are in need of one. Here is the link to the floating stake-out-stick: https://www.amazon.com/YakGear-YakStick-Floating-Stake-Out-Stick/dp/B079833KYD

The Yak Stik Mud Anchor does not telescope to get smaller for storage. Instead, it has clips that can be mounted on your vessel for storage.

Unfortunately, the Yak Stik Mud Anchor does not work for anchoring small boats with trolling motors. It is specifically designed for anchoring kayaks, canoes, and small boats up to 16 feet long.

The provided clips for the Yak Stik Mud Anchor screw in. If you have a SOT (Native - Slayer 13 Propel) kayak, you can use well-nuts instead of screws. However, the reviewer drilled small holes and used stainless steel screws to secure the Yak Stik Mud Anchor onto the thick plastic body of the Native slayer propel 13 kayak, and it holds firm enough.

does this telescope to get smaller for storage?

It does not, it does have clips that mount on your vessel.

Does this work for trolling motor to anchor small boat?

No

Do the provided clips screw in? or are they bolted from the inside? i have a SOT (Native - Slayer 13 Propel) kayak - can I use well-nuts instead??

I just drilled small holes and used stainless steel screws. Native slayer propel 13 has a thick plastic body and screws hold plenty firm.
