Why is it called bear spray? I need a reliable pepper spray for humans. I need human spray.
It’s called bear spray because it was designed to repel bears....buy one and have someone that doesn’t like you spray you and you will see if it works on humans.....
Why cannot I not get this shipped to Michigan?
Great question. One would assume from the language that pops up on Amazon that it has to do with Michigan legal restrictions. I'm guessing someone who does not understand legal language constructions could not properly interpret MI's law, as I will admit, it is poorly written. However a close reading of the relevant Michigan code shows that this spray IS most likely legal. MCL 750.224d says that only 1 of 3 criteria must be met to be a legal self defense spray. The 2nd criteria is "A solution containing not more than 18% oleoresin capsicum." This spray appears to be only 2% Capsaicin and related Capsaicinoids. So unless there is some other ingredient that can be harmful to humans, its use should be fine on bears or other animals. As it pertains to use on humans it would be a misdemeanor UNLESS it is used "in the protection of a person or property under circumstances that would justify the person's use of physical force."
One or two holsters?
Each canister comes with its own plastic holster clip.
Would this work against mountain lions?
Yes
