Now, let's address some frequently asked questions:

Is there a foot rest?

Thank you for your interest in Sea Eagle Boats. While the Explorer Kayaks do not come with a foot rest, we suggest using our BOWFLOAT as a foot rest alternative. You can find this product on Amazon by following this link: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00RXYM5HC.

What are the dimensions of the 300x when packed in the carrier?

The packed dimensions of the 300x can vary depending on what else you place in the bag. On average, it ranges from 2 to 3 feet in length and approximately 12" to 18" in width. Keep in mind that the tightness of the kayak's roll also affects its packed size. With a little practice, you can efficiently pack it.

Can you install the skeg while on the water or do you have to beach it?

The process of attaching the skeg involves sliding it into the fixture at the bottom of the kayak and securely setting the pin. Although it is possible to install the skeg while in the water, we recommend having the vessel in knee-deep water and tilting it up for attachment. This precaution minimizes the risk of damaging the skeg or fixture by dragging them on the bottom. Following this method ensures a smooth installation every time.

What class of whitewater can this kayak handle?

Thank you for your interest in Sea Eagle Boats. The entire Explorer Series of kayaks, including the 300x, is rated for Class IV Rapids. You can confidently take on challenging whitewater adventures with this kayak.

what are the dimensions of the 300x packed in the carrier

Depends on what you put into the bag with the 300x, but it would be from 2 to 3 feet by about 12" to 18". Of course, it also depends on how tightly you pack the kayak. It takes a little practice to roll it up efficiently.

Can you install the skeg while on the water or do you have to beach it?

The skeg is attached when you slide it into fixture on bottom and set pin. I ussually have vessel in water knee deep and tilt it up to attach skeg as I don't want to risk dragging on bottom hence breaking skeg or fixture. Works well every time.
