Does this device have a "bread crumb" feature? Yes, it does. By default, the device creates a track log while you move when the device is turned on. You can, if you wished, reverse that track and use our track back option to return to your original location.
What locations are covered by the pre-loaded maps? Does it work when I am outside of the US? Example: Europe, Japan...or do I have to purchase additional maps? If yes, where and at what cost?
How many geocaches can be downloaded to this unit without having to add an SD card? Can you use rechargeable batteries and charge while in the device like an Etrex 20 & 30? You could use rechargeable batteries if you wished, but the Etrex 22x does not offer in-device recharging.
