Hooked on Kauai is a personalized fishing guide service in Hawaii that offers private, island-wide fishing adventures for families, individuals, and small groups. Our chartered tours prioritize local species knowledge and follow sustainable practices, such as catch and release. We also provide interesting historical information about the area to enrich your experience. Our goal is to create a fun, educational, and adventurous outing for all guests, including children as young as 5 years old.

Our saltwater fishing trips target a variety of species, including Jack Fish, Bonefish, Pacific Threadfin, Porgy, Goatfish, Blue-lined Snapper, Blacktail Snapper, Rudderfish, Yellowtail, Wrasse, Trumpet Fish, Hawkfish, Queenfish, Flounder, Needlefish, and Bluespotted Grouper. For freshwater fishing, we focus on Largemouth Bass and Peacock Bass.

Our experienced guides will provide all necessary fishing equipment, including poles, tackle, bait, chairs, and a cooler for refreshments. We recommend bringing your own polarized sunglasses, swimwear, and adequate sun protection. Specific footwear, such as Tabis for walking on rocks, may be required for certain tours. While most locations have sandy shorelines, we also offer options for anglers who prefer rock and cliff environments.

Our basic fishing charters typically last up to 4 hours, but we also offer extended or custom bookings upon request. All trips are tailored to accommodate your skill level, desired catch, and group size. The location for each excursion is carefully chosen based on weather, water conditions, and proximity to your accommodations. Please note that transportation to the fishing location is not provided, and anglers must make their own arrangements.

To ensure a personalized experience, we recommend booking your trip at least 48 hours in advance. This allows your guide to customize the excursion according to your skill level, group size, and desired species.
