Central Florida Bass Fishing Guide | Captain Monte Goodman

Central Florida Bucketmouths, owned and operated by Captain Monte Goodman, offers professional Bass fishing guide services in Central Florida. With over 20 years of experience as a successful tournament angler and guide, Captain Monte's focus is on providing a safe, enjoyable, educational, and successful fishing experience for all guests.

Fishing trips are conducted on a 21' Triton Bass boat, initially built in 2010, with a capacity for up to 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children. Powered by a 250 HP Mercury engine, this Bass boat can reach a maximum cruising speed of 60 knots. Equipped with a GPS and fishfinder, locating fish is made easier, and the boat also has a livewell for keeping fish alive.

Polk County, known for its numerous lakes and abundant natural resources, provides an excellent fishing environment. The lakes you will fish in Central Florida include the Kissimmee Chain, Lake Toho, Walk in Water, Istokpoga, and the Winter Haven Chain of Lakes, as well as select private lakes and pits.

Largemouth Bass is the most prominent species in this area, with numerous fishing tournaments dedicated to it. Bass are strictly catch and release. However, other species like Catfish, Crappie, Sunfish, and small Panfish may be harvested according to size and bag limits. Capt. Monte not only focuses on successful catches but also provides exceptional customer service, helping guests improve their angling skills.

Fishing equipment such as rods, reels, tackle, and lures are provided by Capt. Monte. Water and soft drinks are also available, but guests are welcome to bring their own snacks and lunch. It is advised to bring sunglasses, sunscreen, and insect repellent. Guests aged 16 years and older are required to have a freshwater fishing license. Fish cleaning service is available but at an additional cost.
