Kayaking at Panama City Beach is widely regarded as one of the gorgeous cold springs in all of Florida; Panama City Beach has located just a short distance from 30A, inside Holmes Creek. You can paddle to the spring in either a kayak, a canoe, or a paddle board because getting there any other way is impossible. Paddling on Holmes Creek only takes a short time (between 15 and 20 minutes).
When you arrive in the spring, you can lounge on a beach chair or ride one of our Sea-Doo Underwater Scooters around the spring wearing a mask and snorkeling. You won't have to worry about bringing anything because everything you'll need for the day will be provided, including beach chairs, towels, masks and snorkels, lunch, drinks, sunscreen, GoPros, and SeaDoo Underwater scooters.
Canoeing, kayaking, or paddleboarding through Cypress Spring with one well-informed expert will allow you to notice and enjoy the incredible local flora and animals.
You can rent Yolo's Hammerhead/Explorer series of stand-up paddle boards as well as Perception Access 11.5 Kayaks (11.5 feet single sit-on-top kayaks), Mad River Journey 156 Canoes (15.5 feet 2 and 3 seaters), and Mad River Journey 156 Canoes (10.5 - 12 foot ultra-tough boards). All the kayaks in the entire collection are cutting-edge and in excellent working condition.
You also get professional guidance as you take advantage of the spring's soothing and therapeutic properties.
Cypress Spring Eco Adventure offers trails perfect for people of all ages, from young children to senior citizens. The waters surrounding the cold spring are entirely transparent, and there is a rich diversity of life in the spring. We highly recommend taking some time to enjoy one of Florida's most beautiful natural springs.
While here, you'll also learn about the area's history, the cypress and tulip trees that grow nearby, and why Ponce de Leon called Florida Springs the "Fountain of Youth."
Transparent water and visibility extend deep into the Holmes Creek Cold Springs. If you look below the surface, you'll find a wide variety of aquatic life, including fish, turtles, crawfish, and even, on rare occasions, sharks. You may come across blue gill, largemouth bass, flat head grey mullet, cooter turtle, pond slider, soft shell, and snapping turtles, among other species. While you are canoeing or participating in one of a variety of different activities, you will be surrounded by trees; also, you will be able to hear the songs of various birds.
These birds include herons, ibis, woodpeckers, warblers, cardinals, blue jays, mockingbirds, hawks, eagles, owls, and vultures. While exploring Cypress Spring and Holmes Creek, you will observe some of the beautiful creatures living there.
Cypress Springs' beach is unaffected by rip currents in contrast to the ocean. Like the beaches of Northwest Florida, Cypress Springs has shallow water at the coast and gradually deepens as you move deeper into the spring, where there is a drop-down, and the water reaches a depth of approximately 23 feet. Therefore, there is something to discover for individuals with varying degrees of ease.
Underwater scooters make navigating easier, and you'll enjoy the experience more since you'll be completely submerged.
The Coldwater Excursions guided environmental tour is designed to accommodate the needs of all levels of explorers, from beginners to seasoned pros. Cypress Springs provides transportation to and from the city.
Coldwater Excursions is one of the few tour businesses in the area that can provide full kayaking in Panama City Beach tours for their customers (you and everyone in your group will be insured for the duration of your time).
